Sayo Kumbasi House is excited to share with you an incredible opportunity to enhance your wellbeing while exploring the wonders of wildlife.

On March 12th, from 11am to 2pm, we will be hosting a free zoo excursion (limited spots) for African migrant and youth with mental health, drug, and alcohol problems. This event promises to be a unique and enriching experience that will allow participants to immerse themselves in nature while learning about the animals that inhabit our planet.

Why a zoo excursion, you might ask? Well, studies have shown that spending time in nature and around animals can have a significant positive impact on mental health. Being in nature has been linked to reduced levels of anxiety, depression, and stress, as well as an increased sense of happiness and overall well being.

In addition, interacting with animals has been shown to increase levels of oxytocin, a hormone associated with bonding, trust, and social connection. This can be especially important for those struggling with mental health, drug, and alcohol problems, who may feel isolated or disconnected from others.

Our zoo excursion will be an opportunity to connect with others, learn about the animals, and gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world. We hope that this experience will help to boost the mental health and wellbeing of all participants.

So, if you are interested in joining us on this adventure, mark your calendars for March 12th at 11am. We can’t wait to see you there!
